Abstract

This case affords a classroom discussion highlighting the importance of understanding the financial market's signals regarding a company when trying to assess the financial statements and viability of the company. The case is a disguised SEC enforcement action. Topics pertinent to the discussion include auditing, financial analysis, control systems, and making a market for a stock.
