Reducing Violence in the United States: A New Agenda

Abstract

A new policy agenda to reduce violence in the U.S. is suggested to improve the quality of life and to re-imagine the front door of criminal justice system. Hyperlinked text and references to sources of information and reality examples are provided so that this paper can be used as a teaching and policy tool as well as a guide for future research. To decrease violence in the U.S. requires a drastic reconfiguration of policies that involve the underlying frameworks in which criminal activity takes place. The focus here is on ten strategies.
