Business environment has been fast evolving; the level of competition has grown more than a few folds. An organization which matches the global practices will only be able to survive in this dynamic business condition. This calls for better understanding of business environment locally and globally. Management has to face a difficult challenge of finding the connection between organizational goals and the nature of the organization, and to decide which culture will be conducive to the company’s effectiveness. Hence the biggest challenge faced by organizations is to find new and innovative ways to carry out businesses and not only survive but creating a competitive advantage. This gives a food for thought to find new avenues which will allow organizations to achieve their set objectives. Organizations may not be in control of external environment and cannot alter or change it in their own interest instead can build their organization capability internally. They can develop an internal environmental framework which gains employee participation and involvement and ultimately strengthens them to face the competition globally and locally. The organizations have to build an organization culture and Human resource management practices which are in alignment with organizational strategy so as to optimize their internal capacity and perform as expected. This will help build a committed and motivated employee base creating a sustainable competitive advantage.
The research paper is an effort to explore an organization understanding and belief of organization culture and human resource management policies and practices, and perspective on strategic alignment of the same with organizational strategy. The research paper tries to explore the awareness of the employee awareness of organizational objectives and goals and their realization of conduciveness of internal environment for achieving the same.
