Abstract

In this form it might be rendered, “that like God, it was in Christ, the world is reconciled to himself, not reckoning their misdeeds against them and having established in us the word of reconciliation. Arguably, the author of this verse (as established by p46) used a more specific Greek word to indicate what God had ordained. Ευαγγελιον puts teeth into this verse so that it might be rendered, 'It was in Christ that God reconciled the world to himself, not reckoning their misdeeds against them and having established in us the Good-news (Gospel) of reconciliation.'
