Abstract

This paper talks about the concept of Rule of Law in India. I have underlined various occasions when rule of law was under threat. Rule of law function only when there is check and balance amongst the three wings of government. During the time of emergency, there was no check on the executive and so one can see gross violation of fundamental rights.

Keywords: rule of law, constitution, separation of power, judiciary
